Sg Petani has been dotted with numerous clock towers, probably due to corruption that saw some parties gain from their construction. Many are in disrepair and considered a waste of money but the main clocktower still towers in the middle of Sg Petani town, and thankfully still functional. Sg Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.
