Theme Thursday: Food
After being cleaned out and treated with various herbs and sauces, some of which happen to be family trade secrets, the waxed ducks are left to hang out in the open for drying whereby it will obtain an oily transparent sheen. A delicacy highly sought after during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Kuantan, Pahang, 2005.

It's at 'hak yi kai' (drunken chicken) near your place, junction of Jalan Beserah and Kubang Buaya, the one in front of the JKR quarters.
kervin, i think u take really beautiful photos :)
i've learnt so much about the many places u've visited here.
[just wanted to say thanx:) ]
gosh, sometimes when i stare at this pic more, i swear those ducks looks human. hmm... must be my imagination. ;)
btw, i don't eat ducks.
Ugh! Hate the stuff. But love the picture. :)
venus: Thanks glad you enjoyed them :D
Lucia: Lots of people I know don't touch the stuff either reason that they can't stand the taste and smell or that they're too 'cute'. Not too partial myself but the roasted variety we get from Petaling Street are great.
james: A lot of people share the same food dislike for duck, glad you like the pic.
