A local fisherman at Kampung Talutup in Pulau Banggi deftly knots the various tears on his fishing net before the next fishing trip.

A fishermen's life is forever on the job, if not busy out at sea trying to net the daily catch whatever the weather may be they're at home carrying out work such as maintaining the boats, processing the fish or mending the nets damaged on the job, all in all a very demanding lifestyle that faces countless hardships with no guranteed returns.
