Sea Cucumber

Seacucumber

A giant sea cucumber caught off the shore of Kota Kinabalu, guess which end this is? Another interesting but less known facts, certain species of sea cucumbers have a defensive mechanism that when threatened they will squirt water onto their attacker. If that fails, they will shoot their innards out by turning themselves inside out and then when they escape slowly regrow their internal organs. Another interesting fact, sea cucumbers are animals.

Really! That's some amazing info! Especially about turning themselves inside out. I can't wait to get my 5 year old from school and tell him about that!

Thanks!
