Happy Easter everyone!

Easter

A lovely Easter egg that Laura made for me!!!!!! To all Christians celebrating Easter, wish you all the best today.

As my previous post I confessed that I've been off my game of late, I struggled to get motivated to get lab work done, I've been feeling drained and uninspirational and I figure my worst fault was to be somewhat lukewarm towards Laura and the rest of the population, zombified of emotions. One thing I attributed was the horrid weather, its been so oppressive that I'm sweaty and uncomfortable most of the day, the other must be the blues; no goals ahead, nothing much to look foward to, the recent spate of troubles and many other minor yet accumulative factors that just conspired to rob me of any semblence of enjoying life. It came to a point that Laura awoke me from a half fevered sleep and said,

"Dear what's wrong, you have not been yourself of late, is there something bothering you or is it that you need a change of routine?".

I confess I've been a bit preoccupied with myself lately, that going to church for so many days in a row was both taxing and sapping. That work, schedules, Laura's interest and my own interests have been competing with each other for attention. I told her,

"No there isn't anything wrong, I'm just feeling run down, there's no particular reason I should feel this way and there is nothing serious occupying my thought. Don't get me wrong it is not you that is the cause, just be there for me okay at least until I pick myself up".

I guess all I needed was some time off, its been a while that I've just sat at home not doing anything besides watching movies and drinking coffee or even taken a holiday away from it all. It didn't help that one of the pups have been rowdy and barking loudly all night that I awoke and had to go down during the hour of the wolf to get them settled as my other incompetant housemate owners did not stir from their precious slumber. These days I might be lucky to catch 4 to 5 hours of sleep, going to bed near 1 a.m. and waking at 6.30 a.m. to get to work.

Consequently after last night I was able to sleep in until 10 a.m. today thanks to the change in church schedule for Easter Sunday mass to the afternoon. I woke up refreshed and all the better to tackle the world. It no longer feels like there is the weight of the world on my shoulders and even I'm all game to head for Easter Mass today. Well to cap it up, Happy Easter to all those celebrating it.

Yes, Kervin, praise the Lord. Let's start another year like we are just born (from the egg). I just learnt of the significance of Easter today. Arise, start anew, rejoice, alleluia!
