bombastic flower? haha. what a name you gave it, kervin. bombastic as in grand, pompous speech or bombastic something to do with bomb seeing it is from the CANON ball tree.
anyway, it is inded a lovely flower. found in penang too and how come i didn't notice it.
Saw it near the entrance to the botanical gardens, didn't know what it was until Aunt lilian posted a pic as well and someone gave the name, interesting as the pods grow straight from the trunk of the tree
