Out for a Swim in Likas River

Swim01

Previously when the squatter colony was still present by the banks of Sg Likas near the entrance bridge to Kingfisher, I always liked to go among the people there to take photos. Along the polluted river, it seems timeless fun that the kids just plunge into the river without care or worry about what might result from swimming in such polluted waters. I figure that is the only fun they can have and thus they cherish it. Caught these two having a ball, Likas, Sabah, 2004.
