Harmony Street Melaka

Kampung Kling Mosque with its unique architecture of a three tier roof design and Moorish minaret is one of the oldest mosque in the country.

Sri Poyyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Temple with its bright yellow frontage is one of the first Hindu temples built in the country. It is dedicated to Ganesha.

Lacquered mosaic figures guard the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple. Dedicated to Kuan Yin (the Goddess of Mercy) it is an important place of worship and has been painstakingly restored. The effort has netted it various international awards.

Walking down Jalan Tokong or better known as Harmony Street in Melaka is a treat to have. Here is the best example that our nation is a diverse people in customs, religion and culture and all these elements coexist with each other. Having so many religious places of worship so close to each other in complimentary is simply amazing.
