Photo Friday entry

Jump Posted by Hello

Pic: Contestant bungee jumping in 1 Utama, a local megamall in the Standard Charted contest for a chance to win prizes. From her empty handed looks, guess she walked away without one but still the thrill was good enough to put a smile in her face. Petaling Jaya, Selangor, 2004.

After my initial trial, this is my second submission under the theme of 'speed.' Mmm not too happy about the way it turned out but my cam does not catch fast paced actions in low lighting too well. Do help to vote for me though okay! Thanks for your support.

Voting for the category "furry" is now underway from friday till Sunday. My entry is connections and if you think it's a noteworthy picture please vote for it ok. The link is http://www.photofriday.com/linkviewer.php?id=370 and my entry is under Kervinphotos numbered 252. Thanks all for your support!

Okay, you're pictures? They're awesome. No. Really. Freaking awesome. I'm really impressed...is this just a hobby, or what? Because they're great.

It's a hobby for now, always wanted to be a photojournalist but afraid to take the first step. Besides my skills are still not honed, certain pictures could be better. Will be planning to get a digital SLR, maybe a Nikon when I start working. Haven't experimented with techniques such as telephoto lenses, wide angles, slow shutter setting etc. Anyway for now glad you enjoyed the pictures, thanks for the encouragement, will keep on posting more in future, keep an eye out.

Oh well... Give a monkey a piano and 400 years and eventually it'll compose a Bach or a Beethoven...

Hehe... Glad I taught you well Chong. With your great concepts and my teachings of SNAP SNAP SNAP till you can't snap no more... I guess you did manage quite a good number of good photos eh?

Get the SLR! Then maybe its time for you to learn about the finer technical details of photography... And make your snaps to good photo ratio back down to around 1/10 or 1/5?

I'd really like to see your using artificial lights creatively too. Perhaps investing in an external slave flash, diffuser and colour kit for nicer effects?

Hey... November... Sipadan... Interested? I've got 5 days off... Get your marine pack and lets go! I can get us places there!!! Go train up your diving now...

Haha yeah, oh well keep me posted about the trip to Sipadan, I'll see if I can cough up the budget somehow (I'm still unemployed ok!). Keep me posted. Nice to see you making use of company net time between work to give comments too.

Eh... its just 10 minutes break when I had a mental block. Not that I'm like that all the time. Besides, I don't get OT pay when I stay late till past 8 or 9...

Whoa!!! That guys is real... ummm... GREAT!!! Naaah I can't even afford one of his lenses...

I do like 40mm and 50mm prime lenses. At F/1.4 or F/2 they are really great at portraits. Nikon 50mm F/1.4 is my all time favourite!
