Honouring the Dead

These few weeks families are observing the ritual of Cheng Beng (Qing Ming) in which those that have passed away are honoured through ritual offering. Graves of the departed are cleaned and spruced up, family members come together to offer food, incense and 'hell money' to those believed to return as the Gates of Hell are opened for this limited time annually.
